Gmail / Googlemail profile
With IzyMail, moving or migrating from Hotmail (MSN, Yahoo, AOL) to Gmail becomes
very easy and only requires a few simple steps.
Step 1
- Create an IzyMail registration at the IzyMail Control Panel.
Step 2
- Create an IzyMail forwarding profile for your Hotmail (MSN, Yahoo, AOL) account.
-or- (but not both)
- Define a Gmail import profile
Important: The Gmail collection
engine will not work when there is also an IzyMail forwarding profile.
To protect the consistency of your mailbox, the Google import engine cannot be used
at the same time as the IzyMail forwarder.

Forwarding Hotmail with the IzyMail Forwarder
Step 1: Register your Hotmail address with IzyMail
Click here
to open the IzyMail registration page.
Simply enter your Hotmail address, your password and the verification code and you
will instantly have access to POP services for Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo or AOL.
Step 2: Define an IzyMail forwarding profile
After registration, the
IzyMail Control Panel will be shown.
Locate the section labelled Email Forwarding Options.
Enter your Gmail address or any other target email address and click [Next »]
A verification message will be sent to your Gmail mailbox.
Step 3: Confirm ownership of the target (Gmail) address
Find the IzyMail Confirmation message in your Gmail mailbox and
click the confirmation link to activate forwarding.
The IzyMail forwarder will start right away and the first batch of forwarded messages
will arrive within a minute or two.
-Or- Importing Hotmail with the Gmail Collection Engine
Important: DO NOT define a Gmail import profile in addition to
IzyMail forwarding. It will not work.
Step 1: Register your Hotmail address with IzyMail

will instantly have access to POP services for Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo or AOL.
Step 2: Define your Hotmail account in Gmail
Log in to your Gmail account and click
- Settings followed by
- Acccounts followed by
- Add another mail account
Gmail will open a small pop-up window.

Enter your Hotmail (MSN, Yahoo, AOL, ...) address and click
[Next Step »]
Gmail will show you another dialog with configuration options.
However, the pre-filled values in the next step are not correct
and must be changed. Without entering the correct username and server intormation,
it will not work.
You must change the pre-filled values as illustrated below:
- Username Your Hotmail address incl. the ...@hotmail.com part
- Password Your Hotmail password
- POP server in.izymail.com
- Always use a secure ... OFF
When you click [Add Account »], Gmail will verify and
confirm your entries and create the Hotmail import profile.

this.
