Configure your eMail profile

In addition to your registration with IzyMail, you must configure you eMail application to make use of it.

We recommend the Quick Start wizard on the right side. It will create a Windows-compatible account definition on your computer. Outlook, Outlook Express and several other applications automatically recognize the new profile.

Instructions

  1. Exit your eMail application
  2. Execute the auto-configuration wizard on the right side
  3. Restart your email application 
  4. When you email application has restarted:
    1. Your application may prompt you to import the new profile. Confirm the dialog
    2. If the profile is not imported automatically, execute the menu option to import an account profile from Outlook Express 6

Manual configuration 

Manual configuration of the email profile is possible and recommended to set advanced options.

Incoming server in.izymail.com pop3hot.com is an obsolete name. Please do not use pop3hot.com.

Advanced options 

To enable specific features or to resolve connectivity issues, the following configuration options can be set:

IMAP IMAP is a sophisticated synchronization protocol, primarily used for custom folders. It helps synchronizing mail folders between several computers.
(Most of our users prefer the simpler POP / POP3).

Outgoing server port 587

If your Internet provider blocks port 25 ("cannot connect to outgoing server").

Note:
For compatibility with earlier versions of IzyMail, port 2525 is also available.

Server timeout Increase to
3-5 min
If your mailbox is very full and you experience frequent "timeout" errors.

Return address Do not use ! Any return address value will effectively disable your ability to send mail
